Robert Downey Jr. plays a military inventor and playboy genius who, after being wounded and captured by terrorists, constructs a suit of super-powered armor to escape. Given a new lease on life, he returns to improve himself and join the exclusive club of New York's superheroes (proper attire required, two drink minimum).
