Rochester Green Lunch Series:  Landscaping with Native Plants

Would you like a low maintenance yard, that is the envy of all your neighbors and helps protect the quality of Michigan's lakes, rivers and streams? Join us for our Green Lunch Series lecture presenting Ruth Vrbensky, from the Oakland County Conservation District, as she shows us how to landscape with native plants. Learn the importance of native plants as vital parts of our ecosystem, including their effect on other plants, wildlife, insects, water, and people. Ruth will talk about various invasive species to avoid, as well as many examples of beneficial native plants.

The Green Lunch Series takes place at the new Whole Foods in Rochester (intersection of Walton and Adams Rd.)
