The Ralph J. Bunche Repository announces the opening of the Ralph Bunche: Global Impact Detroit Roots exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum. Originally displayed at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the exhibit will be on display from Saturday, November 22 through March 8, 2009.The exhibit is the latest to be displayed in the Detroit Historical Museum's Community Gallery presented by Comerica and honors the life and contributions of Dr. Bunche, one of the world's foremost peace advocates through vintage photographs, representational imagery and various other artifacts that paint a vivid pictorial history of his exploits.Adult admission is $6. Seniors (60+), college students with valid college ID, and youth ages 5-18 pay $4. Admission for children ages four and under is free. Parking in the Museum's lot is $3 at all times. Permanent exhibits include the famous Streets of Old Detroit, Frontiers to Factories, The Motor City, and The Glancy Trains.
