Nicol Paige is a proud Metro-Detroiter.  She graduated from Ferndale High School and went to Wayne State University on a scholarship from the Journalism Institute for Minorities.  After graduating from Wayne State University she made her rounds working at WJBK FOX 2, WDIV NBC 4 and WXYZ ABC 7.  She spent many years volunteering for DRIS (Detroit Radio Information Service) bringing news and entertainment to those with disabilities through a special signal provided by WDET.  Next she worked for the City of Detroit at the Cable Communications Commission as a Producer/Reporter where she won an EMMY for a show about a new program to help prostitutes gain a new start in Detroit. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.  While Nicol loves entertaining and educating people through the media she also loves helping young people.  For the past nine years she worked with an organization that taught high school students how to create television shows.  Her passion for the community has found a new home here at WWJ TV/CW50 as a Community Correspondent for Street Beat.
