Tim Lawlis

Tim Lawlis was born in Detroit, Michigan.  He can't remember the name of the hospital since he was very young at the time.  Tim's father was a soap salesman which Tim attributes to his good clean living.  Tim's artistic talent came from his mother, even though drawing on the hardwood floors with a blue marker was frowned upon.

Tim won numerous art awards in grade school and high school before graduating from Grosse Pointe North in 1991.  He began studying journalism at Wayne State University, but was bitten by the video bug in his first year after mistaking it for a common house fly and almost swatting it.   Tim graduated from Wayne with a Bachelor of Arts degree in TV and Radio Production.  Now he applies his art to a bigger, moving canvas, but keeps the use of blue marker to a minimum.

Tim's won a bunch of awards and figured that listing them would be a boring read so you can just imagine how great they all are. 

Tim really enjoys talking with people in the community; it's one of the perks of his job besides the free coffee.  Tim somehow convinced a wonderful woman to marry him and they now have two beautiful children.  Someday soon, Tim expects to come home and find blue marker on his hardwood floors.
