Eddie Connor

Eddie Connor is a frequent contributor to Street Beat.  As one of Street Beat's Community Correspondents, he reports on activities of interest in the young adult community in Metro Detroit.

Eddie Connor was born in Southfield Michigan, but grew up in Kingston, Jamaica.  Eddie's Mother, a missionary to Jamaica, instilled in him his strong spirituality and life long values, both of which were tested when Eddie was diagnosed with cancer at fifteen.  Eddie not only overcame cancer, but became an author, educator, evangelist, motivational speaker and radio show host.  Eddie has a long list of honors and achievements.  He has received the Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award and is an American Cancer Society spokesman.
